The Lion King

A film directed by Jon Favreau. The Production VFX Supervisors are Rob Legato and Adam Valdez.

I started at MPC as Layout Artist, doing layout tasks like layout staging matching with the previs, character placement, animation blocking, produce post-vis CG camera retiming used by subsequent departments... After a month I started working in the Environment department doing layout design, scattering (using Houdini to create procedural scattering systems) and set dressing of whole the elements of the set (rocks, trees, bushes, flowers, grass...).

As I started as Layout Artist I used my knowledges of Layout for helping my colleagues and doing support to the Environment team.

I worked on different sequences and teams. One of the sequences where I worked was “Pumba Hunted”. I worked on set dressing and scattering of the whole area where Timon and Pumba sing the song ‘The lion sleeps tonight’.
